Dream Achieve Inspire
Art Competition & Exhibition
Residents of the City and County of Grande Prairie are invited to create a piece of individual artwork with the theme of 'Dream Achieve Inspire', and submit it to be included in the 2010 Arctic Winter Games Art Competition and Exhibition.
Age Categories are:
- 12 & Under
- 13-17
- 18 & Up
Competition Rules & Regulations:
- All art submissions must be submitted no later than March 1st, 2010 by 5:00pm at the Centre for Creative Arts. No late entries will be accepted.
- Artwork must be ready to display and be accompanied by a completed submission form and short artist statement
- The artist statement must explain how the piece is relevant to the theme of 'Dream Achieve Inspire' and can be no longer than 100 words
- The name and/or photo of the artists and their work may be used in any publications and other promotional material
- Artist must be a resident of the City or County of Grande Prairie, Alberta
- All artwork must be original and produced by the artists stated on the submission form and have been created within the past three years
- Artwork can be in any form of visual art, but must be tangible (no performance art) and cannot exceed 1.5m x 1.5m (150cm x 150cm)
- Artwork will be judged by a non-partial panel of judges from various organizations in Grande Prairie
- Winners will be announced at the Exhibition Opening and Awards Ceremony on Monday, March 8, 2010
- Artists are responsible for transportation of work to and from the Centre for Creative Arts
- Pick up date a the end of the exhibition will be March 15, 2010 by 5:00 p.m. at the latest
