All volunteers for the 2010 Arctic Winter Games Host Society must agree to the “Consent for Disclosure of Criminal Record Information”. This is initiated once you have checked “I agree” under the Security Check Disclaimer/Consent on the on-line application form. This process is performed free of charge for all of our volunteers by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (R.C.M.P.).
The Criminal Records Check is a highly confidential process that simply verifies that you do not have a/any disqualifying offense(s), as listed on the Consent for Disclosure of Criminal Record Information form.
It is also used as a screening tool for managing risks, i.e. being in close contact or unsupervised contact with youth (volunteer or athlete); working with money and or assets; working with confidential information and/or records, and/or other vulnerable persons identified by the Host Society.
